Force.com opens to resellers

Salesforce.com has put forth a new reselling strategy, dubbed the Value-Added Reseller program, to offer its Force.com platform to third-party channel resellers.

Study says large enterprises getting cloudy

A new study commissioned by F5 Networks indicates that more than 80% of large enterprises have at least begun trials with some kind of cloud computing service. Half of the 250 North American IT managers questioned said they had deployed a public cloud, and 45% have deployed a private cloud.

Amazon's new private cloud

Amazon's new Virtual Private Cloud, announced this week, will give customers private computing space on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud( EC2) and enable the creation of their own virtual private network (VPN) to connect the cloud and their IT infrastructure.

Rackspace starts Web storefront

Rackspace, in conjunction with RightScale and Zeus Technology, has opened a storefront for cloud management tools and applications called the Cloud Tools portal.

NetApp unveils new cloud services

NetApp has unveiled new services designed to work with cloud infrastructure, including the newest version of its cloud computing framework for data centers, the Data OnTap 8 operating system.
